"CHRISTIAN SHORT STORIES & ESSAYS" - SNIPPET #3

If you haven’t read a snippet on this blog before, then read this first.

All the items in this book revolve around having a prompt word. In this snippet selection, the prompt word becomes the theme for the story that follows:

NO NEED TO IMPROVE OURSELVES

Let’s begin by remembering that we are all loved according to 2 THESSALONIANS 2:13:

“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,”

But, due to the harried lives some of us might be living, we’re frequently are feeling like we don’t exist as far as others are concerned, and that is like H.G. Wells well-known character or like Waldo in Where’s Waldo, waiting to be found, that we’re invisible.

However, this is as far from the truth as we can get, for, in reality, we’re far more incredible than we could ever dream of being. And perhaps what needs to happen to us is rediscovering that we’re perfectly okay the way we are and getting loved by practically everyone around us.

However, with the blinders we’ve currently have on, the possibility of this happening doesn’t even exist and what is needed can be found in ISAIAH 41:13:

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’”

And what we need most of all now is some help. We need to beseech the Lord to grant us the wisdom of someone who’s been on the road we’re currently traveling on. We need a mentor who’s able to intertwine biblical scripture and stories, as well as perhaps happenings from their own life experiences so that we might, in the end, come to realize what the Lord is saying to/about us, which is essential that we’re perfectly okay the way we are and need no sort of self-improvement for the Lord has made us according to His secret plan for each one of us.

Which should bring to our minds the scripture found in GALATIANS 3:3:

“Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?”

And if we come to this realization, we should all reflect on and remember PHILIPPIANS 3:12:

“Not that I have already attained, or am already PERFECTED; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”
