THOUGHTS ON THE COVID-19 VIRUS #5 - ACTS 2:25-28 [NKJV]

With all the items I keep posting on my blog here, from daily scripture reflections to Sunday’s supplications to the Lord, I haven’t done enough regarding us dealing with the COVID-19 virus.

Given this, my dear Christian “sisters and brothers.” So, this Sunday let us reflect on ACTS 2:25-28 [NKJV]

[25] For David says concerning Him: ‘I foresaw the LORD always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
[26] Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
[27] For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
[28] You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

Let us all say AMEN.

SUNDAY HYMN/SONG #16 - HALLELUJAH [Christian Version by Ryan Stockam

There are several parts to every Church service individuals play witness to or participate in every week. There’s always the obligatory sermon given by the leader of that church’s congregation; there’s the communal reading aloud of scripture, and finally, there’s the what I feel is the most inspirational part of any Christian service, which is the congregation singing of a hymn or hymns.

Since the singing of a hymn is a captivating part of any service, I’ve decided to post one each Sunday. So you, my blog followers, can sing along with it in the privacy of your homes. If you’re not familiar with it, then just sit back and listen to the beauty of its words on this YouTube video, especially these days, with the COVID-19 virus preventing you from doing this in our favorite church.

For my offering for this week is another Christian version of the song “Hallelujah” this time, it’s by Ryan Stockham.  I had posted a special version on Easter Sunday.

I hope you’ll enjoy listening to it or singing along with it if you know the words.

AMEN

THIS SUNDAY'S SUPPLICATION TO THE LORD #20

Christians, especially those who are believers, should be praising the Lord each day by offering a prayer regardless of how brief it might be. With the harried lives we’re living, it’s not always that easy to formulate one, and many might be homebound for one reason or another.  This is especially true now with the COVID-19 virus preventing us from going to church, which why I’ve decided to offer a weekly supplication on Sundays designed to suffice this need. If anyone desires to leave a comment regarding the prayer offering for today, please feel free to do so.

Therefore, let it be known that it is our duty to give thanks to you, our Lord, to praise you, to bless and hallow your divine name, and to offer our thanksgivings to you. Happy are we! How good is our destiny, how pleasant is our lot, how beautiful our heritage! Happy are we that each and every day we need to proclaim that the Lord is our God, that the Lord is One.

Blessed is the name of His glorious majesty forever and ever.

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

DAILY SCRIPTURE REFLECTION #117 - PSALM 143:

Let us say AMEN, and let us reflect on this today.

Here’s to you having a BLESSED SUNDAY with your families praying together in the safety of your Christian homes !!! 😊 😊 😊

SPECIAL MESSAGE & DAILY SCRIPTURE REFLECTION #116 - GALATIANS 6:8 [NKJV]

SPECIAL MESSAGE
I know I haven’t posted a scripture reflection for two days, I had to contemplate whether or not I should continue doing this and cease having this blog continue its existence. The reason I had to do this is I’m not getting any individuals deciding to become a new follower of my blog. The Lord had given me the inspiration to write my first two Christian books because of all the reviews I’ve written for nonfiction Christian books. After publishing these two books I had received a dream about my starting this blog, a dream I only could have received from the Lord.

It’s frustrating “Trying to Be a Good Christian Woman” and not having anyone listening to what I’m desiring to share regarding the Lord and His divine scripture. But, during these past two days of meditation/reflection, I’ve come to the realization that these past 115+ days and the lack of followers has been His way of testing me and my commitment to the task He has given me to undertake. With this being case, I’m going to continue writing this blog as my commitment to sharing His glorious presence with all those who want to read about it.

It’s therefore fitting that for the topic I have chosen for my Christian blog today is about us setting our minds on the spirit of our Lord.

“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Let us say AMEN, and let us reflect on this today.

Here’s to you having a BLESSED WEEKEND with your families !!! 😊 😊 😊

Please feel free to leave your comments, I would love to read them, as well as having you become a follower of this blog.

THOUGHTS ON THE COVID-19 VIRUS #4 - PSALM 34:17-19 [NKJV]

With all the items I keep posting on my blog here, from daily scripture reflections to Sunday’s supplications to the Lord, I haven’t done enough regarding us dealing with the COVID-19 virus.

Given this, my dear Christian “sisters and brothers.” So, this Sunday let us reflect on PSALM 34:17-19 [NKJV]

Let us all say AMEN.

THIS SUNDAY'S SUPPLICATION TO THE LORD #19

Christians, especially those who are believers, should be praising the Lord each day by offering a prayer regardless of how brief it might be. With the harried lives we’re living, it’s not always that easy to formulate one, and many might be homebound for one reason or another.  This is especially true now with the COVID-19 virus preventing us from going to church, which why I’ve decided to offer a weekly supplication on Sundays designed to suffice this need. If anyone desires to leave a comment regarding the prayer offering for today, please feel free to do so.

Man should forever be God-fearing wherever he might be, both private and in public. He needs to acknowledge the truth, and speak this truth in his heart. He needs to rise early and proclaim the following:

Master of all worlds. It is not on account of our own righteousness that we offer our supplications to you Lord, we do it because of your great compassion. What are we Lord? What is our life? What is our goodness and virtue? What is our help and our strength and might dear Lord? What can we say to you Lord? Indeed, all the heroes are nothing in your all-seeing sight, the men of renown are if they’ve never had existed, the wise as if they’re without any knowledge, the intelligent as if they’re lacking any insight; most of their actions have no value in your sight, their entire life is only a fleeting breath. Man is not far above the beast, for everything is vanity.

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

NONFICTION BOOK REVIEW #2020-057 - Gutsy Girls: Strong Christian Women Who Impacted the World: Book Four: Jennifer Wiseman

THE WORLD OF SCIENCE AND THE LORD CAN AND DOES INTERMINGLE IN AN HARMONIOUS MANNER

I and my inner-child read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.

Moms, do you remember as you were growing up as a young girl who did you have as a Christian role model; naturally, it would have been your mothers. These days young girls need to have as a role model, more than ever, someone who has made a significant impact on the world we live in today. These days women are excelling in fields that only a few years ago had been considered to be unimaginable, such as being an astronomer and scientist.

In this, the fourth book in her series of Gutsy Girls, author Amy L. Sullivan, examines the life of Dr. Jennifer Wiseman and what took her from being a young girl who had an inquisitiveness and passion for nature that had gotten instilled with love for the Lord.

This book shows that the secular world of science can and does meet the scriptural world of the Lord in a sort of harmony and understanding while serving as an inspiration for young girls to possess a desire to explore something new and exciting when they become a Christian woman. It is for this reason I’ve given Ms. Sullivan the 5 STARS she has received from this voracious reviewer of nonfiction Christian books and, of course, my inner-child.

NONFICTION BOOK REVIEW #2020-055 No Half-Truths Allowed Study Guide: Understanding the Complete Gospel Message

GOING BACK TO SUNDAY SCHOOL AS ADULT WITH TWO MARVELOUS TEACHERS

In searching the Bible for a verse that would appropriately describe the feelings of the two authors who this book, I believe the best verse would be what we read in JOHN 17:8 [NKJV]

“For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.”

The authors of this book, Christine Paxson and Rose Spiller, took the task they’d created for themselves in writing “No Half-Truths Allowed Study Guide: Understanding the Complete Gospel Message” seriously. In writing this study guide book to accompany their book of the same name, they followed what DEUTERONOMY 11:19 [NKJV] tells parents to do with their children:

“You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

The reason I’ve mentioned this is the way the book has gotten written. The book gets broken down into 11 lessons, with each lesson leading into the next lesson. Just like with a child, you can’t rush into the real heart of each lesson; you need to slowly build up what is getting presented until the purpose of the lesson has gotten reached. Each lesson is not merely words getting imparted to the book’s readers, each lesson is fraught with engaging exercises and thought processes for them to complete, at the end the authors summarize the intended purpose of each lesson just presented.

For wanting to enhance the learning experience, their readers can receive from the actual book regarding the gospel in a manner that is devoid of any half-truths and any lies regarding the Lord and who He is. And for creating an adult Sunday School atmosphere for their readers, I’ve given Ms. Paxson and Ms. Spiller the 5 STARS they richly deserve
