THIS SUNDAY'S SUPPLICATION TO THE LORD #25

Christians, especially those who are believers, should be praising the Lord each day by offering a prayer regardless of how brief it might be. With the harried lives we’re living, it’s not always that easy to formulate one, and many might be homebound for one reason or another.  This is especially true now with the COVID-19 virus preventing us from going to church, which why I’ve decided to offer a weekly supplication on Sundays designed to suffice this need. If anyone desires to leave a comment regarding the prayer offering for today, please feel free to do so.

“Praised be thy name forever, our King, great and holy God and King, in heaven and on earth; for to thee, Lord our God, pertain song and praise, hymn and psalm, power and dominion, victory, greatness and might, renown and glory, holiness and kingship, blessing and thanks, henceforth and forever. Blessed art thou, O Lord, most exalted God and King, Lord of wonders, who art pleased with hymns, thou God and King, life of the universe.”

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

The Lord neither slumbers or sleeps; he rouses those who sleep and awakens those who slumber, he enables the speechless to speak and sets the captives free, he supports all who fall and raises all who are bowed down. To thee alone we give thanks.”

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

THIS SUNDAY'S SUPPLICATION TO THE LORD #19

Christians, especially those who are believers, should be praising the Lord each day by offering a prayer regardless of how brief it might be. With the harried lives we’re living, it’s not always that easy to formulate one, and many might be homebound for one reason or another.  This is especially true now with the COVID-19 virus preventing us from going to church, which why I’ve decided to offer a weekly supplication on Sundays designed to suffice this need. If anyone desires to leave a comment regarding the prayer offering for today, please feel free to do so.

Man should forever be God-fearing wherever he might be, both private and in public. He needs to acknowledge the truth, and speak this truth in his heart. He needs to rise early and proclaim the following:

Master of all worlds. It is not on account of our own righteousness that we offer our supplications to you Lord, we do it because of your great compassion. What are we Lord? What is our life? What is our goodness and virtue? What is our help and our strength and might dear Lord? What can we say to you Lord? Indeed, all the heroes are nothing in your all-seeing sight, the men of renown are if they’ve never had existed, the wise as if they’re without any knowledge, the intelligent as if they’re lacking any insight; most of their actions have no value in your sight, their entire life is only a fleeting breath. Man is not far above the beast, for everything is vanity.

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

May it be Thy will, Lord my God to deliver us today, and every day, from imprudent men and from insolence; from an evil man, and from a bad neighbor; from an evil occurrence and from the destructive adversary; from an oppressive lawsuit and from a bad opponent, be he a man of the covenant or not.

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

The Lord feeds his world – our Shepherd, our Father;
His is the bread we eat; His is the wine we drink;
Therefore, let us thank and praise Him with our lips,
Singing: “There is no one holy like our Lord.

We praise our Lord with song and thanksgiving
For the good land, he gave our ancestors.
And for the ample sustenance, He grants us.
Great is His love for us; the Lord is true.

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN

Blessed is the Lord, our God, King of the universe, you have done marvelous things for us who believe in you. You’ve given the cock the intelligence to know the difference between the day and the night. You’ve caused us not to be heathens, praying to their idols, instead of your Greatness. You’ve made the blind see again and has helped clothed our nakedness. The list of your Greatness is endless for you are our Lord for today and forever.

To compare to Him, to place beside Him.

Our stronghold in times of distress.
He is our guide and our refuge,
Our share of bliss the day we call.
To him we entrust our spirit
When we sleep and when we wake.
As long as our soul is with our body
The Lord is with us, we are not afraid.

Good are the luminaries which our Lord has created;
He made them with knowledge, wisdom, and insight;
He place in them energy and power
To have dominion over the world.

Full of splendor, they radiate their brightness;
Beautiful us their brilliance throughout the world.
They rejoice in their rising and exult in their setting,
Performing with reverence the will of their Creator.

Glory and honor do they give to His name,
And joyous song to His majestic name,
The Lord called for the sun, and it shone;
And He sought to regulate the moon,

All the hosts of heaven give Him praise;
All the heavenly beings attribute to His glory and grandeur.

And with that, let us all answer, AMEN
