NONFICTION BOOK REVIEW #2020-063 - The Faith Walk

BE ABLE TO WALK IN THE GARDEN IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD

In all honesty, what Christian doesn’t want to receive the promises of our Lord. I believe that a significant problem that exists in their not seeing this happening stems from their being a sort of a doubting Thomas. For us to understand this notion, we need to remember that Thomas had been a skeptic who had refused to believe that Jesus had resurrected himself when he had appeared to the other ten apostles. Thomas needed to see and feel the wounds that our Lord had received being on the cross to believe what he saw.

There are too many Christians who seem to be having a problem regarding their relationship with the Lord. They seem to desire to see something tangible first. When instead, they need to follow the scriptures as to what to do.

For these Christian to achieve their improved relationship with the Lord need to follow the instructions written in 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 [NKJV]:

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

They need to remember that all things are possible if you possess faith. And if you need a little proof regarding this, then read MATTHEW 21:21 [NKJV]:

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”

What the author, Lucretia Gargill, is attempting to do through the pages of her book is to motivate and stimulate her readers to live their lives by walking by faith and not by sight to receive the promises of God.

Hopefully, by following Ms. Gargill’s advice, her readers will achieve their improve their relationship with the Lord and possess the ability to walk in the garden. The garden that I’m referring to is the one mentioned in the song by Merle Haggard:

And he walks with me and he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.

For wanting to improve her reader’s relationship with the Lord, being the voracious reviewer of nonfiction books that I am, I’m happy to give Ms. Gargill 5 STARS for her endeavor here.
